Team Lummer Land Goes 15-0 and Wins Back-to-Back Championships and 5th Title in 6 Seasons Comments (0)
After taking down Gillian Brooke's short handed team Sweet 160-113 we captured Back-to-Back titles and our 5th title in 6 seasons. Jessie and The Good Dr. were the game MVPs as they simply shot the lights out from 3pt territory (Yes I actually did!). This was by far our most successful season thus far as we averaged 143 pts/game and had an average margin of victory of 28. However, the highlight of the season was breaking the 200pt barrier! The closest we came was 177 last season, and, in the great words of Pat Hennelly, I thought 200 was "unpossible"... but apparently it wasn't. Anyway, it was a great season but is also the last (For now) for the Good Dr. as he is now up in Whistler. Nick Vojic will be taking over as team captain so I wish him, and the team, all the best.
Quote of the game: "Just so you know, I haven't lost in 7 seasons..." - Comes from Jessie Evans. She played for the other team that beat us in the final (7 seasons ago) AND she was out with a knee injury when we lost one a couple years back.

Lummer's list is solid, but:
#2 - Memphis Blues is cheaper, meatier, and better than the Keg.
#3 - Never been to Minato so I can't comment, but Samurai is pretty awesome.
#4 - Falafel House should be higher... most filling, healthiest $7 meal in town.
This list should probably be broken out into several more based on ethnicity or price range, but here are a couple gems:
Topanga Cafe - Best Margueritas in town, great food.
Lan's (Granville and Broadway) - good, cheap Vietnamese.
Rinconcito Salvadoreno (Commercial Dr.) - Get the taquitos...
